People say (okay, not really) that I don't opinionate stuff or share my feelings in my drawings. Like the eyes, though.If someone would give me a few pointers of what tools to use in shading, it would be great.

You already have a nice shading style going on with your shadows. Lovely eyes. Play around with the watercolour brush next time and see if you like the results.

I think this is awesome, Great lineart. I use a combo of the pen and airbrush tools to shade, but I am not good at cel shading at all, in fact, I suck at it unless I'm copying a picture. I lurve his shiny eyes! |

yeah, I think it looks pretty good. I'm not sure about protecting the integrity of the 'expert' board, but I guess when you post in it you're putting yourself under more scrutiny. But anyway, finish the damn thing.

This is amazingly similar to the actual person, except for a few barely noticeable things... Such as, I believe that his face isn't so... blocky... and his coat is missing the little silver chain thingy. Ahem, like I said, barely noticeable... |

2d design assignment, contrast of opposites or something...I think it's pretty much done. The rocky stuff on the right doesn't quite fit in with the whole piece, but I'm planning on making some textured paper so that it'll kinda contrast everything else at the same time. Anyhow, I can't do much more since I really have to get started on this project now, no more time can be wasted on the study.

I love this, especially the uber smooth shading/shines on his forehead. The teeth rule, as well, I didn't realize that's what they were at first, lol. Awesome job.

Save yourself up some of those dollar bills and buy a tablet...you'll love it. I'm sure there's still a Wacom out there for $99. This is still good for a crappy mouse...

i like the criss crossy bits, this will probably look great when it's done, all the details.Personally, I think the only signifigant difference for me, when I draw, mouse vs tablet, is the time it takes. I can sketch faster with my tablet, but not better. In fact, my lineart when drawn with a mouse is so much better than with a tablet, I have better control, and I tend to pay more attention to detail. I like the tablet very very, but I wouldn't knock mouses either, lol. |

This is Miki-Sorano, she's my aviator elf. Lil story line goes with her, no big deal, fun to draw her though. I don't usually make up characters, much less with Japanese names, but it seemed to fit her. And everyone knows that elves always look good in green. Usually.prolly last safety save, good thing too, cos last time my computer crashed directly afterwards. no sweat. ^^;;
This is a theme everyone can enjoy.

im suprised im the first one to comment this picture... it seems that by chance i looked through your pictures for some god unknown reason and i found your picture, noticed no-one commented on it and it looks like you enjoyed creating this, it makes me angry all the crap that seems to be admired, while the good pictures lay in the shadows. anyways, i would really like to see some more elves, hope you draw me something this good someday. make me feel better, anyways i hope you find this and take-care -Cam
