Amazing. Wonderful skin tones. As far as Valo himself, I'd always been "blah blah what's the big deal" until I saw the music video for "Wings of a Butterfly", and now I'm like "guh". Granted, he sheared off all his hair, and I think that helps him (he looks kind of like a cross between Billy Idol and Billie Joe Armstrong from Greenday in the video.)

You so are freaking excellent at drawing tattoos, it's not even funny. And your portraits of musicians are just awe-inspiring... You wow me, stasiuk.

Great movie and the atmospheric color/light is wonderful. I also love the way the 'wind' is blowing his hair as he is moving forward.

emmamommalag (edited Jun 8, 2006)
If there were no rich assholes, who would pay your wages, JK? If you don't like making him rich, start your own company and become a rich asshole, yourself. You like eggs.. how about a restaurant, specializing in egg dishes?
And btw, I like this picture. It's one of your best, Dan.

.

I think we all suffer from an inate need for something more that is never fulfilled.
Miss_DJ (Jun 16, 2006)
hey...I have an idea! you are a SUPERLATIVE ARTIST...why don't you sell your art and eventually open your own fricken gallery?? many of the other incredible artists here could pay you to show their art too. Then you can go put your feet in some white sand and feel more serene. Just a thought....it would get you off the 'treadmill'...

ref: a photo I took in my garden one night last week. I changed it some, I usually do, even when doing realism and working from a photograph.

'Slider' Armed Robotic Sentry

Intended for mild security duty, the Slider is armed with a dual laser turret and three targeting eyes to help it discern distance and movement. On flat ground it can maintain a maximum moving speed of nearly 15 MPH, and due to its lightweight construction it has a vertical jump of 4.2 feet. However, Sliders have severe difficulty making sudden stops or turns at speeds above 6 MPH, prompting their nickname.

The standard Slider model shown here weighs in at a mere 180 lbs and stands about 4' tall. While the dual laser turret remains the most popular choice of weaponry, Sliders are also available with dual submachine guns or a single high-caliber machine gun in the turret.

Although not a particularly fearsome robot individually, Slider units are able to wirelessly communicate with each other to swarm a foe. Those who are interested in low-cost security often will purchase a few Sliders rather than spring for a larger, more expensive robot due to how easy it is to upgrade a security force by adding extra Slider units.
