Yeah I'm more of a Mighty Mouse girl too, DBA. Not by choice though they never aired Underdog in Romania. Man I was preschool didn't speak a word of english but I still learnt the theme song for Mighty Mouse. With made up fake english words, God those were so fun.
Axil62 (Mar 1, 2011)
That made me smile.

The second day we were there the tide washed in huge blankets of brownish seaweed and pieces of driftwood that covered the shore. I fished most of the time and caught sharks and blue crabs... while fishing one day I had to ditch my pole and save a 5 yr old girl from drowning...her mother wasn't even down on the beach and no one was watching her. whew. Thought I would have 2 draw withdrawal while I was gone, but I had so much fun I didn't miss this at all. Going back in August. :)

wow, this is a pretty shore, love it so much :)
laurael (Jul 22, 2004)
Great picture here....gives me a feeling of being there.
Wow...you 'shark' fish too? You are one tough chickee....would not like to piss 'you' off...might end up hogtied and hell, used for 'shark' bait or target practice...either one's not sounding good.
Wait...you swam with dolphins?? I hate you. JK...heh heh.
I'm glad you had a good time and it was a good thing for that little girl that you were around.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 22, 2004)
lol laurael... the sharks we catch are just baby ones. (And they are totally delicious) You do have to swim out through kinda deep water to these sand bars where you can touch again, and they swim around really close to you. Every once in a while a larger one is spotted, but it's not scary. That is how the little girl (I just found out she was 7, not 5) almost drowned, she was trying to get out where we were.
gloworm043 (Jul 29, 2004)
Awesome picture as usual Cindy. Obviously, I've missed something while cruising around in 2draw. I knew you were going on vacation but I didn't know where. Sounds like you had a good time...:)

DinoFlorist (Jul 17, 2004)
I started with the eyes on top and then I was going to make it an eagle, but then I got bored of that so I decided to make a man underneath wearing the eagle as a hat. I figured that had some sort of historical reference to Mayans, Inca, or Aztecs (but I don't know which), but then I decided I didn't feel like that either. So, I outfitted him with traditional Robin Hood attire, and gave him a caucasion complexion. Then for fun I added extra horns. Thats what makes it look like a hippogryph hat.

Great picture and I loved reading how it came about almost as much as the picture itself. :)
davincipoppalag (Jul 18, 2004)
This looks like an illustration from a novel about vikings. This is completely different in style than your others. I like this .
staci (Jul 18, 2004)
this is a great colorful rendition of a caucasian wearing a eagle hat..but is his spear tucked behind his ear?
thats amazing
DinoFlorist (Jul 18, 2004)
actually its going through his head, killing him instantly. I just have problems drawing things with any sort of perspective or logical relation.

Gigandas (Jul 20, 2004)
You did an awesome job with the texture of his hair on this one.The sunglasses seem to be pretty symmetrical too :P.Did it just happen to be, or did you get that consistent pink scheme going thru this one when you planned it out?I think that's the best part about the pic here.Well done once again :).
Knockoff (Jul 20, 2004)
Oh! This is really cool. Your awesome at realism, Laurael! The hair is great, lot of detail :D
laurael (edited Jul 20, 2004)

My god, this is gorgeous. Really. I wish you would finish it, though right now it has a really nice, pristine simplicity to it. I really really like the eyebrows.

longway (Jul 17, 2004)
thankyou... i am really trying..and never knew how my heart would ache for love of an animal. so i wrote this about his last moments, thought i'd share.
tears, the liquid sorrow, falling upon sculptured matts. an outstretched paw, i held secure.
the look of pain, saying help me pass.
it is only the living, that are the remnant. that which holds grief where the paw had been.
as the vision is replayed over and over. to torture myself again and again.
and then i sent forth my loving checkers, and in my unaccepting heart i know.
all things surccumb, in each it's own time.
but i still cry and let sorrow flow.....
thanks for understanding...
DMV (Jul 17, 2004)
I feel so bad for you longway:( ((((group hug))))))
Aubrey (Jul 17, 2004)
((((((((infinity of hugs))))))))))) Checkers is just on vacation.. he'll get to see you again one day. Til then.. the more you remember the good times you had, the easier it will be to deal with the pain.

Gigge (Jul 16, 2004)
Yeah, they do look a bit like early Picasso. Love watching these style experiments.
emmamommalag (Jul 17, 2004)

Aubrey (Jul 17, 2004)
I miss the lines in all the pics but the blended look is nice too. Always a Zep fan either way :)
