We all have a lot of cool pics.. some not original, which is better in my opinion... I shouldn't have drawn this caricature because it's someone else's art.. but I don't mind using photo refs. |

Very cool way to do one, Aubrey. I enjoyed this a lot. Nice, crisp lines to it. Oh, and feel very sorry for Hakkai, while gloating with my dsl connection that took .5 seconds for each panel to load. Nanny nanny boo boo!

Gotta love the stepped shading (dunno if there's an official term for that) and accentuated musculature. The direction and color of the background makes me think he laid an apple. Sure looks proud of it.

Yea Zack.Clox does that kinda shading alot. It lookls good, and though it looks simple, I bet it's not.

a suggestion from davincipoppalag - here's the reference he gave me: http://www.1000pictures.com/view.htm?caircraft/aerobatic+fBlueAngels-3.jpg+x600+y400the dimensions aren't exactly perfect (I would have had to measure and graph and boring stuff like that to get it completely accurate) It got kind of tedious, but I enjoyed doing it because it was something new and different. Amazing pilots, anyway.

You did great with this Miss Cindy! I love that you put more nice clouds than the ref. I'm sure it wasn't easy to draw all the overlapping parts, but you did it perfectly! I'm glad you enjoyed doing this because I'm lovin lookin at it! Terrific!

Yeah DBA, ya kind of reminds me of an episode of the Twilight Zone when these three guys went on a space ship and landed on some meteor they thought was earth.. was called Eternal Peace or something, basically the company that owned it let the dead clients live out their dreams eternally after death.. and the caretaker's job was to guarantee there was always peace on the graveyard meteor.. so he poisoned them and when they asked why he said "because you are man... as long as there is man, there can be no peace"At any rate, This is a great picture Dino, he looks like he's at peace with himself :)

Reference photo by Norman Kenneally (who is an excellent photographer. I met him in Fairfield Ct at a craft fair and bought one of his lighthouse scenes. I told him to check out 2Draw..I hope he comes looking.

I think the simplicity of it is what makes it so striking. Can almost hear the boat creaking with them movin around. The only motion in the water coming when the boat sways. Very beautiful picture poppa... I'd hang it on my wall :)

This is one for the evil clown series, inspired by Zack's evil clown, because his really scared me. I wanted to do one that I personally found creepy. I don't like old dolls.
