wow that was painful. my wrist/hand hurts. not sure what im gunna do with this. but it was fun to do. in a painful way.things are good right now. homo marriage just got legalized in my province, i passed all my courses for my first year. :D i painted my mom a picture of me and my brother from when we were kids. i hope she likes it. anyone else use art as an excuse to be a cheapass around the holidays? p.s. sorry for spamming like a mofo. |

I used about 9 layers..Tweaked the feathers some with blur and blend to get rid of some of the pixelly stuff.. hope it looks better..

A stretch of Texas highway in the hill country where I live. I have a prickly pear cactus like these on the west side of my house that is taller than I am, and it is in full bloom now.(I'm having a helluva time dragging the computer out to the side of the highway to get this done, fighting rattlesnakes and chiggers and I have prickly pear stickers in my ankles... (lol just kidding of course) Okay, done. And was just thinking... when I die, I may not go to heaven... just let me go to Texas, Texas is as close as I've been.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - October 3, 1954 - August 20, 1990He is my all time favorite artist. His guitar seemed to me not to be a musical instrument when he played it, but an extension of himself. He didn't play his music, he was the music. If you ever saw him live, or viewed any of his concert footage, you saw that he put his soul into it. No one wielded a guitar like that before him, and no one has since. My rendition of him may not be worthy of this board, but he's worthy of it so this is where he goes. I'm working from a photograph taken during one of his live performances. If you set the zoom to 50% you can view the whole image without scrolling.
