Imperfect (Oct 3, 2011)
So amazing. One of the most beautiful photorealistic pieces I've ever seen.
dorothyblueeyes (Oct 7, 2011)
Very beautiful. I think I know the difference between me and many of the other painters here, now.For example, this is very smooth, finished, and slick. It' very professional. Good job. I do not tend to like going all the way to smooth, finished, and photo-like. I like the paint(figuratively) to look and feel like paint.I even like it similar to paint, messy and gooey. And there seems to be a tendency here, to like everything very smooth, slick, and finished. Guess I am out of the groove. I just like allowing for different styles, and different veiwpoints of what painting and drawing is.
Teapot (Apr 5, 2016)
Actually, Dot, this is quite impressionistic compared to the photograph, not an attempt at photo-realism at all.

I hope you finish this one, too. would like to see it become advanced.
Artiste (Apr 23, 2011)
I was looking at this and the previous, and a quote from the man who taught me painting came to mind... "big artists use big brushes" I think you would be well suited to making your brush size larger! BTW the man who taught me how to paint is named Max Ginsburg. Brilliant artist.
montezmaria (Apr 28, 2011)
Very nice, I too hope you finish this. Looking forward to it.

Rough Guide...feel free to erase anything, I'm sure its not quite in proportion
Draw on one layer, put black square over your work on seperate layer.
Make a note in your revision which layers you edited.
Please add layers for next person to use.
when mentioning which layers you used, it would be helpful if you state the # and its position, ex: "i used layer 1. on the bottom" or "I used layer 1. on the top".
reason being what one person considers the first layer is relative.
Order of drawing will be the same in which offer was accepted, 1. Dan, 2. Clox, 3. Staci, 4. myself.
Pick whichever block is still available.
Please refrain from peeking at previous work, I think it would add more to the experiment.
Feel free to draw in whatever style/colours you choose as long as ref is recognizable

Gorgeous skin and hair, Martha. You are such a PAINTER!!! I am in awe of people who are able to make these digital aplets produce work that looks like a painting and you're one of the best at it.

love it -- wonderful understanding of energy in the human body
nobuddy1997 (Aug 24, 2011)
why is it so hard to draw a vagina on every nude photo... im not a pervet, i just looks more realistic that way
Teapot (Aug 24, 2011)
Vaginae are not visible without an instrument that enables internal examination. I think you mean a vulva, or pudendum, the external female genitalia.
Flubbles (Aug 24, 2011)
Thats exactly what I was going to say.

I think this one deserves showcase. Who says you have to spend many hours for it to be showcase?
Artiste (Jul 28, 2011)
your brushstrokes with the digital brush are very "digital" looking... I often find myself thinking, when I look at your paintings, that if they were actual paint strokes that your paintings would really be quite brilliant. Something about the roundness of the brushstrokes seems like a waste... like the viewer is cheated out of seeing the 'hand' in the work. This could almost be like a debate about digital vs. real painting. I strive when, I paint here, to constantly make those round, digital strokes not look so like they are done with a computer, as if I'm trying to pass my paintings on here as canvas paintings. You dont bother with that and just let yourself be free... hmmm.
Axil62 (Jul 28, 2011)
This is digital, we don't need to pretend it's not. It's free and forgiving and the only thing you need to live up to is in your head.
Suntan (Jul 29, 2011)
..and I believe that if you sat down with a canvas it would come out just as beautiful. Different, because it's real paint, but just as beautiful.
