Perfect. Thank you method3. I think that's an excellent closing statement for this debate.
marcello (Oct 10, 2005)
love the link.
Caddris (Oct 11, 2005)
Isn't that how all this got started in the first place?
ambermac (Oct 20, 2005)
nice rant. i agree. copying is a fine exercise as long as you credit the original photo. using your own voice is always a greater risk--which is why it's much more fun on all sides. in the fine art world, artists who do this sort of thing always add an indicator in the title. they'll say, "after ____insert artist's name". what gets me are those "pros" in galleries who blatantly lift another artist's style and call it their own. |

this is really good dark...killer´s face is deep
DarkCloak (Jan 23, 2005)
Thanks guys. This was actually inspired by music. I was listening to some random internet radio station and they started playing some sad tune with a choir and a thunderstorm in the background. I thought "Hey, it would be cool to do an animated short with that tune." But seeing as animation is very time consuming, I decided to go with a comic instead :P
JK-Arts (Oct 16, 2005)
This is awsome. it seems like a page out of a good comic book with a good story wich is rare, Good Job and i totally dig your style s much detail and all your work is very complete and perfect. |

This used to be a comic book.
davincipoppalag (Sep 28, 2005)
This is really good and creative. Your effort shows
KH44N (Sep 28, 2005)
Man... that is pretty creative, yet it gives me the creeps. ^__^
candehfeind (Sep 29, 2005)
AWESOME! I am loving your style! *attempts to steal top-hat*
Alex-Cooper (Sep 29, 2005)
Good linework in the face and hat. I think it might need a little more shadow on the face, so the shadows will match up better with the hat and neck. Or you could just leave it alone because it looks good as is. |

Arg. I need to know how to switch the order of the layers.
Noremac (Sep 25, 2005)
%65.6?
Zinc (Sep 26, 2005)
my guess is 1.1%. =0P.p.s.- it's a serious guess.
Zack (Sep 26, 2005)
it's impossible to tell from the data given. you'd have to know the area of B to know, because the final expression is 55 / (800*B) since A = 4B. check the units. suppose the areas were in square meters. for the percentage you end up dividing that first part by the second part. but the first part is in meters squared, and the second part is in meters squared squared, or meters to the fourth power. when you divide them out, you end up with units of "1 per square meter" which doesn't make sense as a ratio, which means not all the variables will cancel out.
SneakyWalter (Sep 26, 2005)
Yeah, zack's answer is probably right. Leave it up to him to figure that out.Okay, how about now? Try giving The Area Of, say, B, 10". Now can you? |

Wow! I was overwhelmed and impressed with all the great submissions. Only one entry can win (and its pretty subjective), but they all were very good and I was impressed with almost all of them. Hopefully everyone who entered had fun creating their creatures, and thank you so much for entering. Every week there will be a new contest to enter, so if one doesnt pique your interest, maybe the next one will. Week 2: Chemistry You knew that you weren't supposed to go there, but Julie a...
