I'd try not to use the shape tools, and maybe use a softer tool so it doesn't look so pixelly. You should try copying a picture of any eye and adding whatever extra effects you want to after that, just so you have the basic shape and idea. |

Whoops, Chem class just ended, gotta post this quick unfinished. I take up a lot of space X3 300x300 just isn't enough... o_0
...Since when can I draw people...? Yeah okay, so, this is Yoruichi-san from Bleach. She's got mad leet ninja skills and stuff. Goddamnit, that leg is really messing me up. It's all wonky. Safety save because I like her hands. Uh. And yes, she will be wearing clothes...I just am too lazy and busy drawing to actually go and hunt up a reference at the moment.
Okay that helped a lot.
And the final base lineart. Now to find a reference for her clothes, and learn how to color.

you should research the posture.... and proportion of the horse in motion... but otherwise this is gorgeous....

looks to me like the horse is imitaiting a deer ramming his head. dont horse jump with there neck low and head striaght out>? |
