i wanted to add a background but i couldn't make one in a seperate layer and let the main drawing come to stand before it...help

hmm, so i tried...but the background is still visible through the hair....blah...too complicated

Awesome hair.

If you create a seperate layer for the background, you can erase whatever accidently goes over the picture on that layer, so it won't erase any bits of your picture. If that made any sense at all. :p

i don't know...i wanted to add this background-layer which i made very dark, but then the whole picture got misty...(that fase doesn't apear in the animation...dunno why)
but i probably messed to much with the layer-thing so ill see next time...thanks

i'm new but i already saw i friend of mine drawing with these tools, so it's not totally new

To give your pic a background, copy the layer with the drawing. Then make the top layer invisible (click the eye next to the layer) and erase everything on the bottom layer. Make the top layer visible again, and you can use the blank layer for your background.
Oh, btw, awesome pic!

The big black blobs on the bottom left are supposed to be people. I used alot of blurring and smudging for this. PLEASE comment on this! Only one of the pictures I've ever drawn have gotten comments!

Yeah. If you use the blur tool, blur the whole pic or just leave one or two things unblurred. I drew a blurry pic or two myself. the best one I drew so far was probably...

Uh-oh! It looks like, despite his piercings, clipped ears, attidude, and bleached patterns in his fur, someone mistook Marrow's age as being far less than it actually is! And Marrow hates being treated like he's twelve years younger than he actually is.

I was going for action and dynamics in this pic. I like it.

It takes 5mins on max speed on my P3-550.... I've ordered a new computer, but its not here yet... 15-20 buisness days is crazy, even for a custom Alienware Area-51.
