That's a nice attempt, but you must realise that 'realism' means drawing things in a realistic manner, which means there are basically no outlines, shapes are made purely from shading.

Yeah...I'm not too familiar with my artsy terms since I don't take art classes. And let's just say non-animeish for this one then (with the exception of the nose). :)

Didn't want to overwork it. :) Liked it though. I like working with black backgrounds. Tried to get a little bit of reflection in the water. The fairy's reflection is brighter than the plants because I was trying to achieve a glowing effect. This is my 3rd drawing w/ tablet. (and first w/ the Oke...whatsit painter. LOL )
