Playing around with techniques. Still need to try some with some tweaking in colors but hey. THere are some things I like (lips, eyes) and some that need some serious fixing (nose) I suck at skin tone but thought this was a lil better than usual. LOL

I finally figured out what was bugging me about this one. (besides too much red hue. I used red as a base) The eyes should be lower set on the face. :) about where I've got the shadow starting I think. And a lil more shadow on the side of the nose. :P (yes it was bugging me. LOL) Anyone know of some good books to use for ref. on people?

The lines are done with watercolour set at 230 - 250 and width of 2 or 3. You have to go over the lines a lot to darken them and clean them up afterwards.

I like the style too. :D Keep it up, I'm looking forward to the finished product.me more touch up, someone sugguested to add the other arm...i tried it just looked stupid.
edit: ah screw it, i'm pleased with how it turned out. it's not realistic, or accurate, but i like it... so screw my boyfriend if he doesn't XD

I think it looks cool with just the left hand showing because the background is black, its has a more dramatic effect when it coems from nowhere. You are doing a great job. I def agree with you about the impressionistic look. |
