EvenNowInDeath... (Jul 19, 2007)
Hmm...mixed emotions about this...I REALLY wish I could do lineart...but that'll like...NEVER happen..I'm to sketch happy! Anyway... has anyone found it harder to tell someone something you REALLY need to, or want to say, but held it back because you don't wanna get them down? Example? Sure... A boyfriend and girlfriend...The boyfriend had to move so they are in a long distance relationship ok? ok. Moving on. The girl is lonely, and wants to be held once more in the guys arms, and wants to tell him she loves him, but fears that the more she tells him that, the more repeated it'll get. She is yearning to tell him that, that she desperatly loves him, and needs him and never wants to let go.
The guy, wants the same thing, but has a one-track mind at the moment, working on something that he really doesn't need...but relates to his job...I suppose. He tells her what he's doing, and that it's a little difficult to respond to her at the moment because of what he is doing.
The girl wants to cry, but it's not the right reason.
...
Yep, I guess that's it...sorry if you got lost...that's my imagination for ya!
(Might, or might not have something to do with my life...you'll never know! HA!)

This is lovely, the only thing that's stopping it from being perfect are the white lines surrounding the face caused by the fill tool probably. This is fixable and I dont mean it in a bad way at all. Good work!

(after finally figuring out how to add a comment to my own piece...lol)
Thanks, I don't plan on keeping that background anyway... lol

Gotta love that bug-eyed little dude in the middle there

Well wow, I can definately see how you succeeded. This reminds me of ad art from the 90's. Imagine this printed on shirts (or sleeves) or caps, or even socks. So much for the eyes to see.
MelissaMissy (Jul 19, 2007)
Oh my god. I could never seat there so long doing that. It's excellent, better than beginner. The design is so delicate and there is no wobbliness in the line at all. I can see this design on a beach towel...

Really neat to look at and wonderfully well done.

Paprika. September 2006 - March 2007.
It began with me realising that she was dying of thurst. Of course I immeadietly took her to my mother and father. We spent the whole day, trying to give her water and keep her comfy. It was looking like she was to die, until, somehow, she lived. And within 5 hours she was in her cage, bouncing around as usual. But then, at 7:30pm, when they returned home from a night out, they found her cage, all over the floor, and a cat picking at her blood-stained fur. She had been killed by one of our six cats, even after us spending all day trying to keep her alive, I guess when I left the room, minuets before she was killed by the cats, and I said goodbye, I truley meant it.
I never wanted it to end this way for her. Even after her being ressurected, she was still brought to death by a cat.
I'm sorry, Paprika. I let you down.
I'll miss you forever and ever, my eternal love, Tai. xxx

Use blend, not blur. Also darks before lights, and focal point etc.

Too lazy to give any /real/ crits.
davincipoppalag (Jul 20, 2007)
There is a gradient tool in lascaux that you could use to set that blue water with ,,it's a box shaped thingy and you start on the edge and slowly move across the canvass and you will see what it does....takes a littel getting used to. Take a look at the tutorial in the wiki to see how to use the blend function..or look in the forums ..that last one about lascaux v/s shi painter has some stuff marcello put about blend

You're not gonna teach yourself very well by using the line tool, my friend.
marini135 (Jul 19, 2007)
it looks cool o3o
Sweetcell (Jul 19, 2007)
Never, never, NEVER use fill unless your filling the entire canvas otherwise you leave white marks behind that you have to manually fill in and it's a bitch to do. It makes pictures look messy. Layers are the way to go. And Deformed is right, mouse or no try to do free hand lines, it'll look better, more natural and not jagged. One more trick is using the airbrush and not the solid pen to ink. Put the airbrush to med flow/opacity (below the brush tools) and make the lines with the small brush (If you had a pen I'd recommend making thick lines then shaving the lines down with the soft erasure, but a mouse would make that harder.)

This isn't bad, but try those tricks, that's how you'll get etter at drawing, otherwise your just making lines.
