Rudeezy (Mar 5, 2009)
for my computer graphics class, I had to make an alternate cover to a CD.
I chose Rust In Peace by Megadeth. :)

I wanted to draw a robot in a casket rusting, but it wasn't working out too well.
I'm relatively satisfied with this version.

I plan on shooping the CD and Band name on top when i get access to the comps at school.

Well....so far I think it looks more like a woman.......but either man or woman....it's still a cool draw. I like it!! :)
knuckly (Mar 5, 2009)
your skin tones are pretty and the pose is good-- but you should consider the light source, and where the shadows and highlights would fall on her body. I'm assuming so far that the light's coming from the upper right hand side of the picture (our right, not hers). In that case the arm on the left (again, ours, not hers) should be more illuminated on the right, and more shadowed on the left, and the same goes for the rest of the body obviously. Unless you intended the light to be coming from the back? or if it's one of those tricky double light sources :( I hate those. Anyway, I hope I was helpful, and I can't wait to see it finished.

Thank you for a good advice. I always have a problem with the shadows. At next step I'll try to it more realistic.

Here's the low down.....this is my Grandson, although I'm not really old enough (ok, it's possible at 45 yrs old) to have grandkids yet and I don't really have access to him and here's why...
I had a daughter when I was 17 yrs old but being so young myself, my best choice was adoption...and so the right parents were found, the papers were signed, and life went on....
In the year 2000, I discovered that my then 18 yr old daughter was beginning the process contacting me thru the adoption agency we used and on her 19th birthday, we were on the way home from picking her up at the Atlanta bus station...

Amazing picture elly and an amazing story. Thanks for sharing this with everyone and acknowledging God in the midst of all that has happened. Only He can provide such strength along with the artistic talent that He has so fully blessed you with. Keep them coming, please!
firecracker (Mar 5, 2009)
I'm glad to see other people sharing their stories here. I still have hopes that someday my daughter might be able to locate her son. He's probably married by now, and has kids of his own. Who knows....my daughter might be a "grandmother".......which would make me a "great grandmother".
Mocha_Bean (Mar 5, 2009)
That's amazing, elly. I like the high contrast!
I was adopted when I was six years old. The adoption agency spent two years trying to find my parents while I was in foster care but had no luck. When I was younger, not knowing who my real mom was constantly bothered me. Nowadays, it's not something I think about but I still want to know. I'd like to find her and ask her all these questions that need answers. I'd hope she could answer them for me. On the other hand, I might be better off not digging around for her. I guess I won't know until I cross that bridge.

The new show on Animal Planet called 'Jockeys', is a unique look into the life of the jockey community. My interest is personal, as I knew the brother of two of the top jockeys in the horse racing world...Sam and Eddie Maple. This new show is very informative and discloses intimate details of the jockey's personal lives...their struggles and relationships. Julie Krone was the first woman jockey to win the Kentucky Derby and the only women to be inducted into the National Horse Racing Hall of Fame.

Im a pro gambler and i bet on the horse racing most days of the week! hayley turners a great jockey but the majority of the rest are useless, especially rosie dobbin she couldnt ride out in a finish if her life depended on it.
