I think the problem is that it doesn't look anything like dust. not so much that it's there. dust is nearly opaque

I personally don't think it needs to look like dust, (it does look more like smoke or something), but it's just cool looking, anyway.

I want to thank you all for your views on this and how you see it. I was kinda messing with what colours I could use, that you wouldn't normally link to an Elephant, and the dust kind of evolved..lol I think the colour thing went to my head a lilttle, but I really appreciate all this feedback, it helps me a lot. I don't really like this, I just wanted it the hell out of my studio.Experimenting with colors and stuff, and I wanted to draw a gas mask. :P edit: If it's not worthy of intermediate, feel free to move it down to beginner.

Yep I like this one too. Ref. out of another book. I kinda just used the idea of the owl. :D I am having fun but need to go to bed now. :D Getting in some practice.

I like these "caught by strobe flash" looking pictures too. This one needs more detail in the body feathers and a bit cleaner edges, but I like it, too. |

Sweet. I've never seen him drawn realistic. I remember his new series when I was in middle school but he goes way back to 1982:wikipedia article EDIT: Sorry, I'm not big on niftyToo...unless it's completely necessary. Damned mods, I'll get you!

This is a cool picture. I like the style it's done in. Even though I usually don't like some of the colors in there, you made them work really well. The way the sash thing with the hearts on it almost matches her skintone really threw me off at first though, and had me wondering if I was looking at a bare-bellied dancing pregnant woman. Just a small change of shade or color for that should fix it.

Yeah ok so I liked the spider better. drawn from a pic out of the same book. I didn't do it exactly like the pic though.

I think you and I are the only ones who use pictures from books to draw from. Everyone else seems to use online pics. I like this one, too, but I think the lines you use for the legs and the head should be smooth, thinner, and shiny. The wings look nice.
