I think her knee and elbow could be defined more. Also maybe a shadow under her or some kind of background so it doesn't look like shes floating.

Here is Blue. She looks kind of cold. Again hard to do skin tones sometimes in those colors but I was also kind of thinking Ice Queen or something. :) Kinda threw the dove in there last thing. :D

nice rant. i agree. copying is a fine exercise as long as you credit the original photo. using your own voice is always a greater risk--which is why it's much more fun on all sides. in the fine art world, artists who do this sort of thing always add an indicator in the title. they'll say, "after ____insert artist's name". what gets me are those "pros" in galleries who blatantly lift another artist's style and call it their own. |

Now this is truely an odd piece. Watercolour with cartoon effects.. a lot it was rushed, and my attention to detail was sporadic (what detail? ;). I was about to trash it.. but I figured.. what the hell.
