you use the other side of the brain? you mean, just take a picture, and view it very objectively, minus any meaning to the picture? your brain just photographs it literally?

It results in forcing you to see more accurately what you're looking at rather than drawing a preconceived notion of what something looks like. Everyone does that unconsciously. I love looking at Tornados! TWISTER was one of my favorite movies. Nature is awesome, as long as your not directly in its path. :)Late comment but this picture is Nice! Look at the way the grass and everything else looks highlighted. :D

Very interesting and am looking forward to seeing it when its finished, as others have mentioned i love the texture, it reminds me of what its like to stand in a river, i love it. I hope some of this texture makes it to the end.

The texture either reminds me of chalk on black paper or light colored pencil on black (either paper or board). I love it. I don't know if I like the texture or the draw better. Nice stuff. Congrats on the showcase too!
