Yay! A wolf! I love the snout and the eyes, they look photogenic, but I think you can do something about the ears to define them a bit more. Cool pic.

Looks pretty good there.Was your reference from the movie cover?I see some smooth and crisp texture work all over this one.Did a particularly nice job on the eyes and the nose :).

edit: Alrighty.....I really can't stand looking at this picture in my pile of unfinished work. And I really don't feel as if I can finish it either. It does not really remind me of Shinya at all, his face just looks completely different from what I was trying to get off my reference saved in my computer. I am sorry for anyone who wanted to see this done but I am not going to finish it unless someone can really convince me to do so.

I'm not sure, but I think he probably did less detail on the body because the focus should be on the face, hand, and butterfly. I like it this way. It brings your attention directly to the point of focus.

I didn't say there was anytihng wrong with less detail/focus on the body, I'm just saying it doesn't have the same feeling as the head and hands. you can still keep something out of focus while fitting with the style/level of finish of the rest of the piece. Take his left arm for example.
