Don't know if this belongs on Advanced or not. A portrait of my great-grandmother, Gracye Cooke. C & C welcome.

That's excellent, she was a pretty lady. You can really tell this is from a different time just from the haircut she's sporting.
Miss_DJ (Jan 28, 2007)
so vintage and rich...nice!

I love vintage portraits. The selective color adds so much class. Great job.

Fantastic portrait! I think it's advanced :)

So this is what the finished version looks like. Very nice Ken,it really does look realistic. The angle of the head is wonderful, and it does look just like your great-grandmother. I think it belongs here on advanced. :)

Purdy!

The eyes could use some highlights, maybe move the left one (on our right) further to the hair, but this is a really pretty piece. As everyone said, very vintage. She was a beautiful woman.
Insomniac (Jan 31, 2007)
Thanks everyone. I intend to go back later and fix the eyes a bit, if I have time.

Fixed up the eyes a bit, I noticed they were kind of uneven.
