I think it's really well done, miss joy. Somehow the sword doesn't seem to really be in her hand , though, can't say why, but it just doesn't look like she's holding it. Is it a coincidence she looks a bit like Christina Aguilera?
Opium (Apr 12, 2006)
haha complete coincidence :/ thanks poppa :) I think the problem with the sword is it's too bright compared to her

This is an awesome concept. Her head and neck look a bit large for the rest of her but her wings and her hair are wonderfully done. I really enjoy the snake on the hilt-cool position and very symbolic.

thanks fleeting! and you're right, they are too large...I didn't see that before. I'll have to fix that
Sweetcell (Apr 12, 2006)
This is wonderful, those wings are just stunning. I agree that the head and neck are slightly larger than her body, but it's so pretty you hardly notice.

Really creative. I like those kind of pics. (I ment the creative ones! not the ones with the boobs... (Although it doesn't really bother me :))
comd (Apr 13, 2006)
That's a very creative concept! I love the texture of the wings.

Thanks sweet, mikron and comd :)

Incredible shading and like the addition of color to part of it. The wings are just amazing!! I had to blow them up and look more closely they are so cool! I like the original concept too. :) If I might share a tip, I don't do a lot of figure drawing for my own work so I almost always use a ref of some sort to get the proportions and initial positioning right. Then I change change, change to make it mine, but it starts from a solid realistic base. That saves time struggling to get it right and if you do a lot of draws eventually they will all be right without the ref, but that takes lots of work and study. I know, I need that myself!
