stunning, I do wish I knew how you people do realism....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 21, 2005)
thanks. To put it in a nutshell.... study your subject matter. Look 1,932.5 times, paint one stroke, look another 1,765.3 times, paint another stroke, etc. etc., realize that most of the strokes you made aren't where they should be in relation to the other objects, paint over it. :) Do this for years until finally something looks like what you were using as a reference. heh.

The reflection on the wood looks like I could just touch it. Very nice!
davincipoppalag (Dec 21, 2005)

Those chairs are so un comfy
I like the the way you used lights darks and the reflecton. and you broke another decoration. DBA your not frustrated setting them up are you?

as usual this is a wonderful piece. I wanted to comment on the wood floor reflections too since it's my favorite par t of this piece. So here's my comment- the reflection on the floor is my favorite part of this piece. And Cindy you forgot to add that when doing realism you need something that I have very little of : patience.

very nice shinny floor makes me think of one you did a while back with the little girl in the school office.
oh man was that good. i too like this floor it gives you a sence of the age of the floor and how much it is used
great pic

No, JK, I'm not frustrated setting them up, I don't set them up because I smashed all of mine on purpose years ago (tacky little things). I got mad and pushed the tree over in the living room and dragged it out into the yard (decorations and all) and any ornaments that didn't break during that, I broke on purpose. Boy was that the 'funnest' Christmas ever! :D Thanks, ya'll. :)
hideyourface (Dec 22, 2005)
hmm I think the leg in the back is too far back. I like the shiny floor.

Glad i wasn't there funny as it be i'd hate to become that innocent by-stander well atleast a by-stander that gets injured during all that, well you know how that story would go.
Miss_DJ (Dec 22, 2005)
real wood doesn't look as good as your drawing of it...wowee sistah...beautiful again...you're so predictable...lol
