You would think drawing yourself would be easy seeing how you look at your own face in the mirror all the time......but nope!
Anyway, having a REALLY rough time with this, perhaps i didn't pick the best photo to use
You can see my reference here
can't really think how to properly do stubble either...for my mellon

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 22, 2004)
That's just something I've heard all my life. It's a cute button, of course. :) (You really are a doll)

hehe. Looking good so far. I'm liking the anatomy in this. Maybe instead of using a black for your mellon, use a lighter shade...gray or dark gray even.
kejoco (Sep 23, 2004)
Thanks anna, but i don't think i'll be finishing it yet...i just woke up and i think i need to lie down for another little while...soon though, i promise...

Axil62 (edited Sep 23, 2004)
Hey Kejoco, you mentioned having "stubble trouble". I never work in Oekaki Shi-painter but I know that in Lascaux there is a spacing adjustment for lines, if you turn it down the lines breaks up into a dotted line. If you can find an adjustment like that in Oekaki Shi-painter you might have some luck with the stubble. Just a thought. This is looking great.
kejoco (Sep 23, 2004)
I'm thinking i should start trying to understand lascaux.
I don't think shi-painter has any such adjustment like that...its pretty cool that lascaux does actually.
Thanks for the tip though.
I was trying to use the textures that are on there, but they look pretty shi-tay

Wow great job kejoco! I really like all of the fine stubble/detail you drew in. You are certainly gifted : ]
dixielandcutie (Sep 23, 2004)

kejoco (edited Sep 23, 2004)

Kenshin (Sep 23, 2004)
Wow... This is awesome.. -pets stubbley head- YAY! XD
Childlike_Vampire (Sep 23, 2004)
Wow, great picture! You are hot. :P The details really make it, and I like that it's black and white. Nice job! :D
Aubrey (Sep 23, 2004)
What a cool looking picture. You're almost popping out of the screen! So very neat. You're a hands'm fella.
kejoco (Sep 23, 2004)
<--Happily getting the ol' ego stroked...
If I had known I was going to get this reaction I would have drawn myself Looooong ago
Many thanks from a bashful guy
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 23, 2004)
Bashful, my ass. LOL This turned out great... hey, just shave all that off and tatoo cracker on the back of your head. ;) If you haven't tried Lascaux, you should really get in there and work with it... it's a brilliant little applet if you ask me. I have been painting all my life, but I still consider myself new at computer art... I have been trying everything I can get my hands on, and although there are programs that people praise... I still prefer this Lascaux to even what some say is the best. If it were for sale I'd buy it in a heartbeat so I could work with it offline - you're cheating yourself if you don't use it.
emmamommalag (Sep 23, 2004)
It looks just like the photo! You did an excellent job on this.
Anna (Sep 24, 2004)
I still prefer this Lascaux to even what some say is the best.

I completely agree with that. I honestly can't bring myself to like anything else. lol

kejo... bashful?? naaawwww Why can't I believe that?? :P
kejoco (Sep 24, 2004)
You don't believe me that i'm bashful????
I'm hurt....i can't believe you both think i'd lie
Miss_DJ (Apr 12, 2005)
