Nice so far CV.. I don't know why they called them that. Maybe someone here knows more about native american culture and can tell us what they were about.

Seems like they believed if you had nightmares that was evil spirits coming into your body and so they'd hang dreamcatchers to ward off evil spirits at night. I could be wrong but that's as far as I remember.

this looks great! :)

O me *raises hand* There are several variations on the myth but basically ...well um if u live in the country (like me) u have seen those little spider webs in the grass in the early morning they are usualy covered with dew. The dream catcher is a representation of that. The spiders spin the webs at night so the dream catchers catch all the bad dreams & keep the evil spirits away while allowing the good dreams & the good spirits to pass through a small hole at the center of the web. There’s more but I don’t want to bore u ^^

All I remember is they catch nightmares so you're free to dream. ^__^

I must have an implicit dream catcher then.

wow this is really neat, its like looking into your dream catcher and seeing the bad dreams that it caught. but then i guess that was the whole concept o_o. lol anyways, this picture is great.
