If we lose the war, hang our heads and pull out, our production, income, exports and way of life will all vanish as we know it. After losing, who would trade or deal with us if they were threatened by the Muslims? If we can't stop the Muslims, how could anyone else? The Muslims fully know what is riding on this war and therefore are completely committed to winning at any cost. We better know it too and be likewise committed to winning at any cost.

By the way, this looks more like Bob Barker from "The price is right."

Why do I go on at such lengths about the results of losing? Simple. Until we recognize the costs of losing, we cannot unite and really put 100% of our thoughts and efforts into winning. And it is going to take that 100% effort to win.

So, how can we lose the war? Again, the answer is simple. We can lose the war by imploding. That is, defeating ourselves by refusing to recognize the enemy and their purpose and really digging in and lending full support to the war effort. If we are united, there is no way that we can lose. If we continue to be divided, there is no way that we can win.

Let me give you a few examples of how we simply don't comprehend the life and death seriousness of this situation.

- President Bush selects Norman Mineta as Secretary of Transportation. Although all of the terrorist attacks were committed by Muslim men between 17 and 40 years of age, Secretary Mineta refuses to allow profiling. Does that sound like we are taking this thing seriously? This is war. For the duration we are going to have to give up some of the civil rights we have become accustomed to. We had better be prepared to lose some of our civil rights temporarily or we will most certainly lose all of them permanently. And don't worry that it is a slippery slope. We gave up plenty of civil rights during WWII and immediately restored them after the victory and in fact added many more since then. Do I blame President Bush or President Clinton before him? No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war. None of those words apply to war. Get them out of your head.

Amen, Axil. And yes, that does look like Bob Barker.

Thought i'd add this to the "evil clown" collection...plus i think it finishes it off nicely!

on the note of war n stuff...its all about profit, the iraqis had something bush wanted so he went n got it n called it a fight against terrorism, and for humanity... what gets me is that how does killing innocent people a fight for humanity??? anyways, i've argued to many people about this but the outcome is always the same. whats the point??? its only lip service.

n yeah! ROCK AGAINST BUSH & BLAIR TOO!!!!

this is too cool... I don't get the whole war thing either... except that 9/11 definitely can't go without some type of retaliation, why it has to be violent is beyond me... it's that whole thing your mom says... "two wrongs don't make a right", or how 'bout this one, " do to others as you would have done to you".... hmmm.... I am not one to be all for war... but I do understand that those people are WHACK jobs over there.... for people who make themselves out to be sooo religious, they sure ignore the basic commandment, "thou shalt not kill"....
misterjimsan (Jul 30, 2004)
Pretty funny, but about some comments, i'm not sure about characterizing the enemy as 'the muslims.' last i recall this isn't supposed to be a religious war on our part, and not all muslims are militant fundamentalists. you know after 9/11 it seems like everybody just became experts in islam, quoting passages from the koran like they spent years of study and contemplating it's meanings, telling me it's violent and all that muslims are evil. Please....there are thousands and thousands of muslims who live here peacefully as US citizens, and many who are a part of the armed forces. I know a few, they're nice people, haven't tried to blow me up or anything!
And sure it's true we sacrificed civil rights during WWII...by placing the Japanese here in concentration camps. It's not one of brighter points in history and it's not what America is about, or perhaps I am mistaken and that has changed in the past few years.

And I'm not exactly sure about the 100 percent effort. If we want to do that, then perhaps we should reconsider our alliances with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which will never happen.

Haha. Bush is an evil clown. What a clown.

...I don’t think Oekaki should b used to point out political views & opinions it’s a place to draw not to campaign...
DinoFlorist (Jul 30, 2004)
I'm not going to attempt to promote anything political, but there's one comment I vehemently have to refute. "Oekaki" is just another art medium. Art is definitley a forum for pointing out political views, opinions, visions, etc. Nobody appreciates the "bush deserves to get assassinated" kinds of comments that have no thought into them, but they're still valid in a way, just barely so. The picture says 1000 words, and it's valid too. At least this picture allows for some interpretation, and even if you don't agree, you conciously form an opinion, which hopefully means you can get informed and involved and do what you think is right.

I hate it when people just say "yay bush, i am republican" or "bush sucks" without understanding anything about anything. It's even the same with "Lakers suck, Knicks suck," but not nearly as important in the big scheme of things. Learn to read.

Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful?
Hopefully, but that is really not material. There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian), that made no difference. You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated. There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests). (http://www.nazis.testimony.co.uk/7-a.htm). Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis, as the 6 million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom heard of anything other than the Jewish atrocities. Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy about killing anyone who got in his way of exterminating the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian or any others. Same with the Muslim terrorists. They focus the world on the US, but kill all in the way - their own people or the Spanish, French or anyone else.. [5] The point here is that just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing - by their own pronouncements - killing all of us infidels. I don't blame the peaceful Muslims. What would you do if the choice was shut up or die?
