Hey, he's Dutch! right? so you don't even have to ask! is that correct, Dutch? or Flemish? (nah). All those artists, the Dutch, Flemish, Netherlands, (who else?) some German, right? ALL that region of artists have a history of art, that makes we Americans, and even the French, look like little kids playing with crayons! Van Eycks, ( Mis-spelling) all those Dutch-masters; Rembrandt; (spelling! ugh!) Rembrandt! (sorry.) they practically -sigh-invented painting! (has heart attack): O all the MASTERY of LlGHT! breathtaking!
what is it, about that cold,northern light? Durer, and his drawing (etching?) of that hare? (wasn't he German)? Yeah, I have Swiss-American myself, and I really respect that work. And our Roytje is really special.
sorry for my spiel. but Netherlands, Dutch,has got such a history of great painters. I got carried away. Some of ,my favorites are Rembrandt, and 15th century Flemish painting. But, I will stop gushing now. Roytje is especially good, also. ESPECIALLY.(too much art history classes, but l enjoyed a lot of it):)

I don;t know if know Neo Rauch, a German painter, but he;s awesome. There is some good art coming from Germany lately.
