Thanks ...wondering if *shults is talking about color or soul
Miss_DJ (May 30, 2011)
ahhh love it!
shults (May 30, 2011)
I was talking about the color. I never really got why in english blue's symbol for sadness.

To me it is more a calming color, the color of freedom. you know, the sky's blue, and so is the sea..
Suntan (May 30, 2011)
I think the term has historical American roots from the old Negro spirituals during and following the American Civil War and grew from that throughout the southern part of the US. I love it. ...doesn't necessarily have to be sad, most is, I guess..but it is from the gut...hence the mood also, got the blues. Whine, whine, whine..guitars and people. ;)

I thought you were probably talking about the color..but just checkin' !
jekyll (May 30, 2011)
It's funny because the herons were I live are blue, (colour, not sad) though they seem to be by themselves all the time so who knows? Sometimes while walking along the shore or fishing in a lonely bay they'll take flight from the tall reeds. Always a special sight to see! I like how you played with the water and reflections in this with a hint of setting sunlight. Nice job, Suntan!
Suntan (May 30, 2011)
holy ..you're so right, of course they are blue (and happy loners, I would guess)...making this an Egret!!
Anyway...both are my favorites. ;)

Thanks, you! :D
jekyll (May 30, 2011)
I'm sure it could still be a heron, just not a blue one.
davincipoppalag (May 31, 2011)
or an Egret with heron its chest?
Alter.Native (May 31, 2011)
