What a cool effect.. I bet that tool would be great for drawing the shimmery peacock tail feathers..

Hi "DaVinci"! Thank you very much for your nice comment....I appreciate it. I'm glad you like the picture. Playing with the scattering tool is all new to me. But after viewing some of the cool draws that MissDJ did, using this tool....I just had to try it. I set the brush size at number 1 (lowest setting) , and the scattering size at it's highest setting, and I used the pen tool.....and this is the effect that I got. Yes, I agree with you... that tool would be great for drawing the shimmery peacock tail feathers......I would love to see somebody do that.....I don't think I'm able to draw a peacock....too complicated for me. I hope somebody does it though.....I'd like to see how it looks. Thanks again for your comment....I do appreciate it. :) Hi "DMV"! Thank you very much for your nice comment.....I really do appreciate it. I'm glad you like the picture.....I hope I'll be able to finish it....I don't know if I can do it.....maybe I'll try again later on. I would love to see a draw by you....using the scattering tool in chibi.....I know you could come up with an awesome creative draw!! All of your draws are so unique and totally awesome....but I see that you never draw in chibi paint......maybe you could do one draw there....I bet you would like playing with the tools there. There are some "cool tools" there!! Thanks again for your comment...I appreciate it!! :)

This is FINE. I like how you used the scatter tool firecracker. Good technique for this and appropriate!! I like the clouds with the moon and the lighting also. I see a face in the clouds looking down on these burial grounds.....the protector? or was that an accident....LOL Well done.
davincipoppalag (Feb 15, 2009)
OOOh very cool

Hi "Gillie", and "DaVinci", and "Jp".....Thank you all very much for your nice comments.....I really appreciate it. "Gillie".....Now that you mention it....I, too, see a face in the clouds......that was an accident...."LOL"! I like it there though.....it's kinda cool. Maybe one of the "guardian spirits" guided my hand to do that face in the clouds..."LOL"!! It was fun playing with the scattering tool....I hope I can do another draw using that tool....I'll have to experiment some more, and see what I come up with. Anyways....thanks again for all your comments.....I appreciate it. I'm glad you all like the picture. :)

Hi Catfish! Thank you very much for your nice comment......I really do appreciate it. This draw was an experiment for me....I was trying to see what the "scattering" tool would do. I used a "ref" picture from an old Indian "Mandella" that my sister had bought at one time. It's a mandella with a velvet painting on a black background. I wanted to see if I could re-create the way these totem poles looked painted on this velvet type of mandella. The scattering tool was the perfect way to re-create that "look". The mandella is hanging on one of our walls.....it's very pretty, and it has some cool looking beads and feathers attached to it too. The picture that I drew is different from the mandella though.....the 2 totem poles look the same.....but I added my own background with the clouds, moon and the torches with the fire. Thanks again for your comment.....I appreciate it, and I'm glad you like the picture. :)

very nice work, Firecracker! Thank you for your nice comments, too!!
firecracker (Feb 16, 2009)
Thank you very much MissDJ, for your nice comment....I really do appreciate it. If it wasn't for you....I wouldn't have been able to do this draw. By my seeing the draws that you did with the scattering tool....it gave me the inspiration to try using it myself. I probably never would've tried using that tool, if it wasn't for you. So...I want to thank you too!!! Your artwork is really very very nice.....and your draws just keep getting better. :)

Oh I'm glad this didn't get by me! It's very inspiring...I've never tried playing around with the scattering tool....too caught up in many of the other tools I guess....I love the depth you managed in this and the texture with the glow of light is striking! Very nice experiment!!!
