This makes me think of the windows in the Westminster Abbey Cathedral in Mission, BC. I tried to find a link but wasn't able to locate a good photo of them. Very pretty.
pawillie (Jul 10, 2010)
thanks Teapot, I did this without a reference, I would like to see the Westminster Abby windows

I've adopted a blind English bulldog who I am helping see life through my eyes. My love, care and giving for animals brings so much joy to my life. My portrait is all about giving love from your heart.

"Wow"! What an awesome draw, and what a beautiful thing for you to do.....to adopt this gorgeous blind dog. I live with a blind dog.....she's a rottweiler named "Zelda", and she's my sister's dog. She's about 9 yrs old, and she's been blind for about a year or so now. She gets around really good, but she does bump her head a lot. My sister should teach her to carry a basket around as a buffer, like suntan said that her aunt taught her dog to do. Awesome draw!! :)
Teapot (Jul 10, 2010)
I've never met a blind dog. They rely so much on their sense of smell and hearing I guess it's not quite as bad if we go blind because our other senses are not as keen as a dog's. It's so lovely you are taking on the care of this sweetie. I LOVE English bulldogs...stubborn but so sweet-natured. I'm going to be caring for a dog with severe epilepsy for a couple of weeks. I'm a little nervous about it. Started fostering rescue dogs...have a beagle and a Maltese at the moment. My life just doesn't feel right without a dog (or six) in it.
montezmaria (Jul 10, 2010)
I'm sure you'll do just fine, Teapot. Yes, English bulldogs are very sweet dogs and have silly ways about them. The breed really touches me and I am in love with them. It is too bad they have so many health issues though. Alphie, the blind bullie I have is amazing at how well she does with her sense of smell and hearing. I swear at times she can see, but know she can't. Sad to say she use to see until neglect of her owners caused her to be blind, due to infections in her eyes untreated. She is a wonderful, loving girl and I love her to death. Wouldn't trade her for any other dog. I'd love to have six dogs myself, but I'll settle for two at a time.

firecracker (Jul 4, 2010)
Wow! This is really awesome.....I luv these kind of "grim reaper" spooky, eerie draws like this.....I don't think that is a proboscis.....it looks more like one of those little "noise makers" that you blow on New Year's eve, and at birthday parties, etc.....cool draw!!!! "Happy Birthday" Marcello.....:)

The original podcast was such an enormous laugh fest for me I had a hard time breathing at times.
Maybe the TV format had it lose some of its charm.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Now I want to get a big palette knife and some thick paint and make a picture with textures so thick you could trip over the strokes.
