This is my first try since the first drawing I ever did (which sucked XD) on intermediate. I hope it's good enough. Is it?Hope you enjoy. I need to add final touches and a background later. If you have any advice on what I could do when I finish her, tell me please.

Thanks, I'll try to use that. Did one and it helped a lot with the white lines.I've smoothed her a lot. I think it's better than before. Her hair looks a bit greasy, but it looks a lot smoother than before. I also did a bit with her nose and lips and made her smile a bit more. Oh, and her eyebrows. I don't really know how much better it is, but hopefully at least a bit!
If you have any advice on how to make this more intermidiate-ish, it would help. If this isn't intermediate yet, how can I make it be?

Taken from a photoThanks for comments all...I did go back and tried to clean it up. I appreciate your help Sweet...it's always welcome..:) And I did get the photo from my computer file. There are a lot of good ref's there.
I did find the pic that you did and it's perfect...exactly like the reference. So much better than mine..but you are a true artist and I am just a struggling want-to-be, so I can use all the help I can get. :)

After increasing issues with the old site, we were forced to accelerate the move process for 2draw.net. Apologies for the unexpected downtime. There are sliders on the left side of the applet under the layers controls. the top one gives a half-tone kind of effect that looks like the stuff they do embroidery on

Try to go over the lines with the sharpen tool, A little here a little there. Or make a new layer over this and use the half tones Dave mentioned apllying here and there. Very decorative. |

I am going to love this when it's done. Just a tip, to get the iridescent shinies on the feathers go over them lightly with sharp, makes a difference when you want something to shimmer.

This is an unfinished peice of which does not as of yet show the stage presence it was devised for. Prop has yet to enter Stage left. When it is complete; it will yeild such an impression as to an entire plot for a movie or graphic novel could be divised. Check back if you like to satiate any lingering curiosity. I really blew the lid off this one. It realy deserves more work than this. I feel I am cheating myself somehow. . . |
