Well, I have seen people make tiles with a crappy style, yet the people here buy the tiles as if they were discovered in a tomb or something. This picture is far better than the shitty tiles I have seen.
lori (Aug 4, 2007)
well thanks :)
Kloxboy (Aug 4, 2007)
The second I saw this, I thought "dickfor"....and what do you know, that's the title. Looks like a really cool rainbow-metal sculpture....whatever that is. :P
Sweetcell (Aug 4, 2007)
So cool, very much would use this in a kitchen, as decorative tiles here and there. Nice use of the tones Lori.

It's been a long time but still, here I am, thinking of you and missing you. You're gone and sometimes I wonder if you didn't take me with you. Something in me died when you left. I'm still here but I'm just a shell of the man I used to be. You made me feel whole, now I feel broken and useless. Can you believe it? I must be some kind of idiot to still be lingering to you (us). You probably think I'm nuts. I've tried just about everything to forget you or at the very least, I've tried not to feel anything for you but it would appear I've failed. I've tried replacing you, that hasn't worked out either. This is certainly some type of hell I've got myself into, I've tried so hard to forget you and let you go but there seems to be unlimited reminders of you everywhere. You'll probably never know I feel this way and even if you did, you'd tell me to let it go and move on. Don't think I haven't tired and will still try but for now, I just feel miserable and helpless without you. All I can do is complain and draw out my frustrations. I'm just another love sick idiot who can't seem to move on.

That's a hard place to be, but eventually you will move on. Been there, done that...more than once, too. This piece has that nodescript , vague, emptiness to it.
Kraisa (Aug 1, 2007)
*hug*
this too shall pass....maybe like a kidney stone but it will....
feel better
Wraith (Aug 1, 2007)
Yeah man. A piece of ass is just a piece of ass. When a woman made you feel like the almighty Zeus, it leaves you really empty inside when she is no longer with you. You would have done anything for her.
concannon (Aug 2, 2007)
<3!

Eventually, I'm sure, there'll be some positive aspect of the situation. Like a piece of art can't be all negative space - there has to be some positive space first!

Contest Week 29: Make it Metal
Kloxboy (edited Oct 1, 2006)
Contest Week 29: Make it Metal Your goal this week is to illustrate something that is ordinarily not made of metal and make it all look like it's made of metal. You can illustrate an object, a person, plants, animals, elements, whatever you want, as long as it's not already made of metal. You can use any type of metal you like: aluminium, copper, gold, iron, lead, silver, titanium, uranium, and zinc. Please do not copy other artists work and have fun. :) Additional Judging Crite...

LOL "FEED ME SEYMORE!"
Yeah I thought of that too as I got towards the end...then my hubby told me it looked like that one pokemon that ate james when he made it come out...so I punched him.
This thing soooo eats horses...frogs are merely a snack!
Sweetcell (Sep 18, 2006)
Get into the song "She's a maneater." replacing It with She.

Please take my man but leave my horse alone. Colors are shweet.

That's just..... brrrr. Still, maybe now parents will believe kids when they say somethings under their bed.

I love how you used the dodge in this. Eye glowey goodness.
pandabarrie (Sep 18, 2006)
no, the head is just not parallel to the wall, so it looks shrunken...i might go back and adjust something, now that i look at it
Lishan (Sep 19, 2006)
Really cool. O_o I never was the kind of kid that was afraid of monsters under the bed, but if I had seen this pic, I might have been. XD The shadows on the sides make the pic seem very real, and make you see "outside the edge" of the picture (so you know that you see it from the eyes of a person who's standing in the door, but maybe you could have added the persons shadiw as well? It looks alright like this anyway) wich is a kind of thing I could never come up with myself. The teeth are very well-done as well, they actally look real. And of course, the glow in the eye gives the picture a even more frightful atmosphere.
Overall, you did a really great job with this one. I wonder what happens if I show it to my lil bro.... >D
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (edited Sep 19, 2006)
This is awesome...it reminds me of like fantays Godfather, when the guy wakes up and there is a bloody horsehead in his bed...but in the head the kid in the bed is the horse head I like how you framed the monster with the shadow of the doorway...and HOLY CRAP it looks tons better when I moved my screen so I could see what's in the bg...awesome attention to detail too

THis one is really cool! It looks like a variety of Roy's Love the depth!
Kraisa (Aug 23, 2006)
yes yes roy is inspiring! makes me want to draw lots of trees, though this one isn't supposed to be a variation....
Violette....did you just make that up? Its neat. I could just see one of the tree babies crawling off to start its own life!! I should draw a tree baby....hmmm...
Sweetcell (Aug 23, 2006)
Fantastic picture, and great little story there Violette. I can hear Richard Attenbourough describing just that :D

And I was going to say something lame like a martian tree. Hers is so much better.
HunterKiller_ (Aug 23, 2006)
Another awesome one.
