Congratulations sweet_insanity (Michelle) , "sugar, spice and everything nice." is awarded first place for Contest Week 59: Love & Hate Hybrid. Described as the interchangeable piece, this certainly is a unique take on the love/hate theme. I like how she's licking the sugar, brings the 2 subjects together in a very practical manner. I particularly like the tongue, it's well rendered and has form. Sugar can certainly be hated in the right context, well done.

Used left hand.This was pain :D --- and I have an A4 Tablet. I feel sorry for those with small tablets or mouse and those who plan to draw fine lineart :D expressive hawhaw. Nothing serious, otherwise my head would have exploded I will cut off my left hand now, so that I will never think of doing something like this again. -- oh my feet too.

Did this with my left hand. Don't know if it counts since I'm left handed, but I usually draw with my right hand here and this was very awkward and it felt like it took foreverr. Must switch mouse buttons back now.

left hand...i never imagined it would be that hard...god...it took 20 minutes but felt like and hour i was surprised however than my left hand makes more cartoony faces i like it better than my real style XD the hair is this wild hair i saw in a DA post but i cant find it now..

Congratulations Mooki, "Quizical" is awarded first place for Contest Week 58: Opposite Hand Drawing. I love the stylistic approach to this piece. The more I look at this the more I'm reminded of the style of Mucha and Muntz, with the feel of oils brushed on thickly and loosely on the canvas. That it was done with the left hand makes it even more remarkable. It seems almost a glimpse of a much larger canvas and makes you want to know what the rest of piece looks like. I feel like I stumbled in on her private thought's. If this were on a wall my attention would be focused on it. Wonderfully done Brooki. I wanted to get the artists here to expand their talents beyond what they can do by having them go opposite to what they're comfortable with. This was a good exercise in control and format and allowed people to explore untapped areas. For these two weeks right and left merged and produced great results. I wasn't dissapointed. Though I know many of the artists here temporarily suffered, :) I'm glad they put so much effort into this, and I know from reading the comments that lessons were learned (and hands were placed in bowls of ice water) The truly hard part has been on my end. This one was a toughie to judge.

Contest Week 58: Opposite Hand Drawing *Two week contest. These next two weeks are to show us how well you can draw with the other hand. Get that left (or right) side of your brain working. It can help you to learn form and composition more by having to concentrate on your lines, and show us the range of your skills. This is sort of what the front view of my yard looks like. I love looking at clouds, mountains, and especially the rain falling in certain areas. The mountains are supposed to be Truchas Peaks Located in New Mexico. ( Left hand drawing. Yes, the hand that moves like davinci's ) I decided to draw this because no one seems to like my Evil pics. :(

Nah, I'm a full-blown righty, lol. I would just zone out a bit, but still concentrate. It helped my lines to come out a little smoother. (That sounds weird but its true, heh.) They're still a little shaky looking, but trying to clean it up would only make it worse, lol. Thank you Lori! :D
