OOps, I meant to put this on intermediate...please forgive me. The layers are still confusing me. I would like to know if you can move it aside while drawing on another layer and then retrieve it. Was also wondering if you can revise your image after you submit it as done. This one was three layers.

Yeah, you can revise after it's finished. I did that with my birds. Are you talking about hiding layers? Because there is the 'v' button next to each layer that toggles visibility.

And I love this picture ^__^ Awesome job!

Ahhh Laura, you know I am a sucker for the birdies, and especially the cardinals, I have tons of refence pics I want to do, Your work is fantastic and you are really starting to get the hang of it, and it shows in this one. Beautiful draw, and yes you can hide layers by clicking on the button next to them. you can even delete the "outline" layer that you don't want before you merge them, or any layer that maybe you were "experimenting" with, and come back and make a new layer if needed. And yes you can change the order of the layers, which is helpful if while plotting your pic you make an error of order, which I have done, oops, lol. In the oekaki-shi painter you can even use slide to make the layers semi-visible, which is a great help. Btw on your screen next to your name in the login bar, there is "config" that if you click on it allows you to change your applets to an advanced mode, which in the oekaki-shi painter gives you more layers, and a few more options, I haven't checked yet in lascaux yet to see what is available. memo me if you need any help or have any questions, I may be able to help.

This is great QT, a wonderful pic and you said you are a slow learner. Very nice!

If you cleaned up some of the lines, fixed the bg a bit, and just added more light leaves there'd be no problem to have it here. Just needs cleaning up and tweaking.

About layers, on Lascaux they work the same as Shi, you can hide them, move them, merge them, and even make them opaque the same as Shi by moving the slider. Just make sure it's highlighted blue or you'll be making the wrong one transparant. If your still confused you can memo me or try the Wiki tutorial.
