Hey JillJJ. Cool drawing, but I think it is slightly off. Don't get me wrong, just giving a few tips that I learned. I noticed the eye has to be more back. This I learned from Sweetcell. And so I outlined what I think it should look like. Plus, like Dave said, the ear has to be more back as well. In this pic, it is a bit to close to the eye. Well anyways, here is a very rough fix of your drawing. ( Someone please correct me if I am wrong because I am learning too )
Well it was not really a fix, but something to help see more or less where eyes and ears should be. Hey, I just learned it myself so I thought I would share the wealth.
Hey Rob, thanks so much for sharing, Help is help and I'll take all suggestions, Dave has probably been the most influential in helping me along to understand how to use the tools and improve my pics. You guys always seem to comment on my pics together, kind of odd, almost like you guys were the same person... anyhow a big thanks drom me to you! Jillj
Hey Dave, I am really struggling with what I believe is a patience balance issue. I just become frustrated at times when I see the incredible work other artists do in what I feel is a short time span. I know if I take my time on something I can work through the challenges in the composition. My kentucky fall pic has really tested my patience. Any thoughts you can share that may help... is it artist block or just plain lack of talent? I can take anything in stride .... Jilly (only my closest friends call me Jilly, kind of odd you keyed into that.)
I don't have a ton of patience either.. I work on mine for a few minutes at a time..or a half hour most...and just keep doing it until I can't think of any way to make it better...everyone works different speeds.. some can do a masterpiece with a few lines and a few minutes.. some can't....It took Michaleangelo years to finish the Cistine ceiling...just work until you're tired and let it go for awhile..then come back when you feel inspired.. ((Jilly)) I dunno.. you just seemed like a Jilly to me
