I was wondering, does anybody have any sort of website or tuts to help with foreshortened perspective?
I did a lazy check on google, but i figured "I'm sure 2drawers are better for artistic help than google is". thanks in advance. :) |

I'm gonna make a quick tutorial right now, because I haven't drawn here in forever. =) Stay tuned.

I think the first and biggest step towards foreshortening is to be able to draw a mannikin/armature of a figure in boxes and cylinders (basic shapes). It should be simple enough to draw a box or cylinder receding into space. Once you get that mannikin down, it's just a matter of adding forms onto the simple figure.

Yes, Gig is correct, and that's pretty much what I've done here.
Hope it will help you. =) http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/91805/ |

Here a good tut: http://studiochalkboard.evansville.edu/lp-square.html
After you have finished that one you can have a look at this one which shows you how you can translate curved shapes in perspective. http://bv-design.com/curve-persp.jpg (made it myself because I lost a link) You learn a lot about perspective by experimenting. @HunterKiller: Good stuff! I think yours is more useful for Rysufio. |
