is this the same woman you've mentioned in some of your other drawings? You are so hooked huh? I know nothing about what happened or where things stand now, but have you told her how much you still love her? Might be worth doing. This is a wonderful pic. I wish I had a bigass oil painting of yours hanging somewhere in my bedroom.
lori: I doubt she'd even acknowledge my existence, I'm pretty sure she doesn't care anymore and even if she did, she wouldn't make anything of it. The situation is, I've not been able to forget her or replace her (believe me, I've tried). The only way to filter her out is by painting and writing about her. I'm sick of caring for a memory but until I find someone to replace her, I have a lot of mixed feelings I need to express.
My normal instinct is to offer comfort and support, but Klox, hon, you can't replace her. In some ways, even if you find someone else whom you adore, there will still be the corner of your heart that sees her in every woman, that remembers her and loves her. It's not something you can erase, not if you tried. You really -were- in love with her, but you can't spend the rest of your life waiting for her to come around, or even for her to come back... It's only hurting you, and I don't like to see friends - however new or however known - in pain.
I hope you can work through this. If you wanna talk or anything let me know. I know it's none of my business, but it's just kind of a, "hey, if you need anything let me know."
That's all. This is really pretty. *hugs* And I'm glad that you chose to draw her as you see her, not how the media would see her. It's a far more personal view.
clover pocky: I've made many of my experiences (good and bad) public though my art and ramblings. To some degree, I've made my experiences other peoples business, so I'm not about to shoot anyone down for giving advice, commenting, suggesting, etc. You're welcome to react as freely as you wish.
I think you've got a good hold on my situation, I agree with most of what you said. Everyone you love lingers with you long after they've gone and will probably remain with you for the rest of your life. When I say replace her, I meant I just want someone else to love, I don't intend to find a new version of her. My personal pain will always be expressed in my art, I know this now, it's just how I work. I would be an insane mess if I didn't have some type of art therapy to give me release. Thanks for your thoughts and support.
