I have a nice question for you, do you respect homosexuality or do you only like these characters being touchy feely because they look good? What if they were ugly, what if they were women? Think it over and remember this website isn't demanding this so you can draw more than random anime boys having sex.
OlFrozenTearslO (Jul 21, 2007)
To deathking:
Isn't that sorta harsh, this picture doesn't seem to indicate sex- besides the bed, plus there's only one person in the picture. I mean I get what you're saying about pictures of mindless yaoi and I do agree, I just don't think it applies here.
To Xalogel:
I like the ear- awesome shading. You might want to adjust the patterns on the hair so that it looks a little more 3D. I don't know if this is your style (some people prefer different sizes of the eyes/chin) but I think the nose could be a little smaller.
deathking (Jul 21, 2007)
I never said yaoi, but this is all implying this concept that all boys from anime that look nice are gay, and to hell with ugly ones all because someone made it "whats cool" I realize Im not being the most understanding of her decision, but to cast out some random characters that right now every fangirl in the world wants to see with another member of the same sex is kind of annoying. This fact is expanded when its all the artist draws, not only that but its not the basis of the website. Also the yaoi fixation makes everyone that just so happens to be gay to always imply sexuality by throwing on a blushed face, lower the eyelids, and dump gallons of sweat on them.

Deathking:
Yea the vulnerability and general 1 Dimensional characters of most pictures on the web really rubs on the nerves after a bit, and I think I get why you made that earlier comment after actually browsing in the beginner section. I saw this first and I just felt that this picture didn't warrant that earlier comment, ^^;
My bad, sorry.

Xalogel:
Ooh, I forgot to point out that the ear could go a little higher. The top section of the ear is usually around the level of the eye

I hate yaoi, and I'm a freaking anime loon. I also don't like how cute boys equal gay... it just isn't right. And I REALLY hate when straight characters from anime shows are forced into homosexual ways by anime fans. Here's a semi-answer, because I just don't know why people like gay anime boys: Ugly characters are normally either evil, mean, people in the crowd, or not there at all. I happen to not really have any uncute characters (but they are all hetero). The thing is, when you draw a character, most people like something easy on the eyes.

Even I like easy-on-the-eyes characters.

Maybe if one pair of people in an anime were just *normal* gay people, I'd understand. But the whole cast acting fruity? The world suddenly gay? That makes no sense. Animes like Earthian and Grativation, ect... not my cup of tea.

(That probably didn't help at all. Sorry?)

I'm not gettig into this argument, I can take or leave Yaoi, (also I hope you two aren't homophobes because I have quite a few gay friends and that would not make me happy)

My question is why do the men look like women (even the straight ones) and the women look like men? What's up with that huh? Huh?

If you use airbrush or watercolor instead of straight out ink or pencil you'll get much cleaner lines, and try lowering the eye and lessening the volumne of the head (way too big)

Get well soon sweeting.
Hokori (Jul 21, 2007)
I'm not a homophobe--heck, one of my bestest pals is bi-sexual. But the thing is, I /don't/ agree with it. It just seems all wrong to me is all. There's a reason men's weenies fit into a woman's chacha. XD

You know, there are a lot of women who are manly... I'm not sure why. Maybe to look tougher?
deathking (edited Jul 21, 2007)
Yeah but Gravitation was funny, Sweetcell me a homophobe think about me a few more times and call me a homophobe XD but seriously OMG did it seem anti gay what I was saying, no no I just hate the way homosexuality between is portrayed by girls, frankly if you dont have the bits and pieces why worry about that stuff ladies? Also hokori, that chacha joke was anti gay, homosexuality is developed psychologically and so is heterosexuality, and once more frankly if using science and chemicals to not have a gay baby, and still say that its natural makes me kinda pissy. Finally, me a homophobe? XD

Need I make it any clearer, or do I have to type is out?

on a sidenote, c'mon the only reason people use the term bisexual is because of the environment's view on gay people,
Hokori (edited Jul 21, 2007)
'Also hokori, that chacha joke was anti gay,'

Anti-gay? I guess? I don't believe that people /should be gay/. Doesn't make me a homophobe.

Um, can I leave now? I just wanted to make a point. X'(

O-------------Rly? >:(
deathking (Jul 22, 2007)
Lets leave it alone, he means that he isnt gay and he doesnt care that some people are, ya know thats great for them but hes fine with everyone.
Hokori (Jul 22, 2007)
'He'? Are ya' talking about me? Cause I'm a chick. XD
Sweetcell (Jul 22, 2007)
