Contest Week 55: 30 Minute Painting *Two week contest.

Your goal these next two weeks is to draw one of the following subjects in 30 minutes: a gorilla, a chimpanzee or a human. You must use a photo reference for this contest and you must include your reference via an internet link. I understand it might be difficult to time your drawing at exactly 30 minutes, so as long as you're within 30 minutes, give or take 3 minutes, your entry will qualify. Do not submit an entry that you spent 20 minutes on, I don't care if it's 50 times better than any other entry, I want to see what you can do in 30 minutes, not 20. You may enter 3 times, your best effort will be judged. I suggest you practice speed painting, it will prepare you for the contest and it will help you develop your overall painting ability. Contest Week 55 will be open for entries from Sunday June 24th, to, Saturday July 7th, 11:59 AM PST.

Shouldn't we make not of whether or not we're using a mouse or tablet or, for that matter, a touchpad? (Now that's a contest idea. Touchpads only...) Ball Mouses, too! Touchscreens? Powergloves?

I see your point Kilbese but no, I'm not factoring in what you used to draw/paint your work with. Considering that some people actually draw better with a mouse than a tablet (or they can draw well with either), so I'm not going to worry about it. Also note, if you go down that road, then you could take computer quality into consideration, internet speed, desk compatibility and a bunch of other nit-picky variables that would make this contest way too complicated and annoying to judge. If you don't have the best equipment to draw on 2draw, just remember you're not the only one and I suggest you try harder to make up for it (such is life). :)

30mins is a long time to spend on a pic, I don't think I would have the patients.

For me is very little time to make a good drawing, that's why this contest is so challenging. :D
