In my memoirs I wrote the following about life and art:
"My disposition and my desires call for peace to spin my thread, for a steady rhythm in life and art." For somewhere in my fifties the desire of my heart turned from public speaking to the steady rhythms of writing to spin my head." This work of art has steady, regular, angular, rhythms--perhaps rhythms is not the right word--directions back and forth, back and forth, much like my writing--ad nauseam--back and forth endlessly....as I say much like aspects of my writing. I might add that the surface of writing is like the up-front black lines in your work--with a background which is as critical as the forground--indeed, an essential juxtaposition. I enjoy looking at art through the lens of my writing.
