Oh, so pretty. I love the colors in this. I have noticed that under some artificial lighting (it's some kind of weird outdoor lighting, like around swimming pools) my hair has aqua-blue highlights similar to this color, and I get attacked by giant moths that divebomb my head) I hate it when that happens. Moths are evil. I love the softness of this, and the way her hair and her lips glow (that soft pink is wonderful) I'm gonna save this one to my picture files, if you don't mind.
p.s. Just as an added note, I'm not sure how you did this, but if I tried for the rest of my life I couldn't do anything in this style. It's sharp, and it pops, but it's still as soft as baby powder. It totally rocks.
and another edit: I just noticed it isn't finished? Aw Hey'all YES, it is. Did the key to the Showcase get lost, or what? The door to it is so dusty and creaky, I hardly bother to open it anymore.
I saved it, and I was almost tempted to use it as my desktop screen-saver thingy, but I have these pretty ballerinas there that I'm never going to want to replace.
Congratulations Silvair, "hmm" is awarded first place for Contest Week 48: The Great User Icon Contest! What a beautiful icon. Some digital artists are very successful at bringing out the beauty of the color teal, I think this piece is a good example of such a talent. I only point this out because it seems some artists overuse the color teal, it can become visually-obnoxious and ruin an image's color composition. There is a majestic feel to this piece, like something out of a fairy tale, it's soothing to look at. The skin is very soft but the face is sharp where it needs to be and the hair totally rocks, wouldn't it be cool to have glowing sharp locks of hair? Maybe that's just me. :D This piece obviously looks great at regular size but it is almost equally interesting at icon size, well done, that's not easy to achieve.
Another one I forgot to comment on. Well since everyone's said everything already I'll just add wow, beauty, and congratulations on first. Well worth it. It's a wonderful piece.
