Hi Jeff, welcome to the site! I wanted to say the same as Alter about this having a very painterly feeling. The rendering of the nose, lips, and chin look to be done very well too. Hope you get to finish this piece and I look forward to seeing more from you! :)

I am definitely going to finish this. I ran into some road blocks achieving exactly what I want with Lascaux, so I'm going to do a couple more pieces and then come back to this with more experience. Many thanks to everyone for their encouragement so far!

Amber is pretty. Nice painting and welcome! I haven't gotten used to Lascaux yet, but it looks like it has a lot to offer.
