Sweetcell (edited Dec 1, 2006)
What an amazing lamb. I can tell this is going to be an outstanding piece. Just a question, are the lambs legs a little long?

Ok looked at the link, disregard the question. You've got your work cut out for you. Good luck.

What a soft, beautiful choice for a study. I have no doubt that you can "pull it off" without a hitch. :)

absolutely lovely, even unfinished..
Deino (Dec 3, 2006)
The face of the Virgin Mary is really gorgeous.
frootcake (Dec 3, 2006)
i like seeing how you draw, like the base colours you chose for mary. however, my favourite part is the colouring and line art on the baby. i would never have guessed the ref pic was 1903.
Roytje (Dec 5, 2006)
I like the transition between v. 2 and v. 3. The colors in this image are great, it gives it so much depth. I hope you'll get more room for this :)

Hmm, I'm afraid to muck around w/the colors much more, but this is close to completion.

what a beautiful picture :) well done
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 8, 2006)
I knew you could do this...and you did it very, very well. The expressions you captured, the innocent aura it has... and the flesh tones are so soft and pretty, just as they should be. This is my favorite so far.
davincipoppalag (Dec 8, 2006)
This is way beautiful..positively wonderful
Moosh (Dec 8, 2006)
Wow. o.O That's so awesome MrPaul.
I love the flesh tones. :)
safescene (Dec 9, 2006)

Pantera (Dec 9, 2006)

Sweetcell (Dec 9, 2006)
I'm sorry you didn't work on ther full piece, but this detail is beautiful, so soft, and want that lamb. It's so so sweet. Glad your here Mr Paul, nice to have great talent like yours around.
MrPaul (Dec 9, 2006)
Wow, thank you all so much for the positive feedback. I'm swimming in compliments! haha. I really enjoyed this contest and look forward to many more to come. So much talent in this community... I don't have to look far for inspiration! :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 16, 2006)
I was really torn between this one and Moosh's Armor painting... This one truly captures what the meaning of the painting is... and I'm not really sure even the original artist did that... you definitely did. I smell baby powder, and I think this would make a great decal on a nursery chest-of-drawers. :)
