No way. I was totally alive and hated everything. Parachute pants, leg warmers, big hair, ugly shoulder duster earrings, Boy George, Madonna, mini skirts with 4" pumps and ruffle socks, a club in Houston called "Fizz" complete with tons of ecstasy, fog, strobe lights, too many levels ... (which is still up and running full steam).. the "X" generation. Talk about opening Pandora's box... the possibilities are endless here.

(I'm a borderline baby-boomer, X-generation child, so this strikes me as really funny and interesting... great choice for a subject :)

to me this is a nonsense theme ... I mean where´s that connection between the entries who stimulates the competition ? that´s too wide. Bah, nevermind :P

Now this I can do. This was the era I was a teenager and there were good and bad things out of it. The bad mainly I could never afford anything, that was the era of money and materialism and me, me, me. Sounds like nowadays. Leg warmers, had em. My dad thoguth they were stupid and told me never to wear them (imagine that) Had one of those dress/shirt pullovers. And of course, can't live in the 80's and NOT have a head band or two, specially a beaded one. And oh the neon.

Must go do, must go do. (Pat Benetar ruled btw, and still does. Fuck Madonna, yah Pat baby.)

May I draw my own birth? lol, just joking.

hah... You promise not to draw your own birth and I promise I won't draw myself wearing a mini skirt with 4" pumps and ruffle socks. :)

I betcha Mikey never owned a "leisure suit"... We've seen yours, though, Dave. Full blown polyester with a "pop your collar shirt"... The mental images I'm conjuring up here have me giggling. That was about the time you gave up trying to sell Hoovers and Encyclopedias door to door, right? (After the Avon lady busted you upside the head with one of those collectible perfume bottles for getting into her territory, that is). :D

edit: psssst... "leisure" would be one of those words like "weird" that doesn't follow the "i before e except after c rule" King Marcello will have you be-headed if this lax spelling behavior continues.

No way.. mine was powder blue by Lee.. I was cool! I misspelled Leeshure to annoy you

doin mushrooms on Friday night and goin out with the girls and laughing our asses off over nothing...lol

being in a band for about a year...SANG Pat Benatar...Hit Me With Your Best Shot...Hell Is For Children...etc. yep and Pointer Sisters, Donna Summer, all sorts of cool stuff.

I thought ruffled anklets and heels were sexy as hell. I loved big hair...and too much makeup it was fun!

yep...I had a good time through the 80's...and in 85 I became a mom....in 89 got clean/sober...and stayed that way...I have zillions of good memories of those years.

LMAO

Might as well face it, you're addicted to love.

My ruffled ankle socks were actually "Barbie" socks, but don't you dare tell anyone.

Mushroom tea?.... We saved that for Saturday night.

Damn straight no leisure suits. Leather , jeans, Black sabbath, iron maiden, dio, misfits, circle jerks Iggy pop. Long flowing big hair, and Mohawks, Woo hooo. Miss it. Partied like an animal then, funny I'm still around. Acid, sh-rooms, coke , opium, Jack Daniels and wild turkey. Smoked then too, well early on. 2 packs a day. Surprised the hell out of me when my daughter was born and had noooooo defects.
Straightened me out a bit. :}
