Yes...thank you. ..some need to realize that wasn't a movie..nor a video game..those were real people..and we are all still dealing with the consequences and the loss of all those lives...."....no man is an island entire of itself....
Wonderful depiction Sweetcell. I drew one a while back and added a comment to it a moment ago. I read that thread too, left a comment. It is kids who have never personally experienced a loss and don't "get it" at all.
We all have our opinions sensi, it was nothing against you. I mentioned the comments because I felt we were straying away from the point. What people do or say or think is their right, I just wanted to remind everyone the reason this day was important. Not politics or elections or fighting, but remembering those who died for a senseless reason. That's all. Please don't think I was pointing fingers. I'm sorry if you thought that, I apologize. Let's just NOT forget huh?
I was talking about the 'kids who have never personally experienced a loss and don't "get it" at all' part.
I can't forget, it's a holiday, and 5 minutes of irritating silence. I can't do silence, and i can't do sad. When people get all weepy and moany, I leave, I just don't fit in that picture.
Oh, I thought you were talking about my comment. Alright, if your un-comfortable with the 5 minutes of silence I can respect your rights (after all that's what freedom's about, having our own right's and opinions) I only ask you remember and respect others rights. Tanka.
A hole in a building, spreading fire and smoke, which shows the hardness of the attacks, which directly hit US heart. Although i can feel, and i even understand the sadness that day caused... the attitude US shown towards the world was "We are unbeatable", they were careless. As a consequence of that attack, US answered, and brought its troops to afganistan, killing innocent people also. But that was a war, right?
Maybe we should think that the terrorist attack wasnt exactly a terrorist attack (and probably, not done without any reason), but the early beginning of a war?
I really dont understand whats the difference between the death of an american and the death of some guy in the third world, but there is... you believe there is. Surely that attack was pretty much heavy, and an example of brutallity... But its way more hard and difficult to understand you were born to die of hunger or non-mortal diseases nowadays.
Again, this was not meant to show politics or anything other than my way of remembering all those innocent people who died. I also haven't forgotten the bombings in London, or Spain or the innocents dying in the war. This is a rememberance for all of them, that's all. Thus the lest we forget.
This is beautiful. The black and white only adds to the sorrow of this piece. My generation is one of the last to remember, vividly, that day... I still recall the way the whole nation held its breath afterward.
drawn in 1 hour 2 min
I will always remember where I was when this happened, and I won't ever forget.
Had a hard time painting this. Having to look at the ref to see where everything was.
bye.

For all of them who died that day and afterwards, from both sides.
