Safety save!
Poor William wanted to be a thatcher, but his father would have none of that. He told him "Son, I will not abide by having thatchers in our family! Either you take your place in the family profession or I dissown you!" Faced with that choice, William was forced to run away from his father's tyranny to find his own fortune. Joseph Cooper never saw his son again, he died later that week in a freak barrel making accident.
William took up with a Thatchers Guild and started on his way to fullfilling his life-long ambition of thatching houses. Unfortunately he was kicked out of the guild after upsetting a lamo and burning the guild hall's roof in, ironically enough. Now, without family and companionship William took to talking to the only creatures dumb enough to listen, the sheep. He found that he had a knack for tending sheep and at the age of seventeen William Josephson became known as William Sheperd.

All Joking aside, I see my ancestors as fitting into the vassle caste. Nothing fancy for us, just honest, down to earth peasant folk. William Sheperd is an amalagam of my Saxon lineage, as opposed to an actual figure. A figurehead, if you will.
