Oh, man this is cool. It reminds me of those powerful photos you see on the cover of magazines like 'National Geographic' featuring people in remote far away countries living 'olde world' style. Nice detail- especially in the face and hands.
..hahaha :))) you made my day, friend! That thing in her hand is called "fuior" and it's actually a bunch of washed and brushed wool on a distaff. But I can see the resemblance ...mmm :)
well, it is one of the tools used in the spinning process(like the spindle or the spinning wheel). It helps holding the wool while twisting the fibers(needed for making clothes) with the fingers :)
