can someone do a tutorial on how to color metal and making it look all polished and stuff? its really hard for me. or can someone at least give me some tips? i would appreciate the help.

hrm. a good way to make something look shiny is to give some highlights along the length of the object (or curve, whatever). kinda hard to just type out how to do it. if you want to make it look reflective then you should add several highlights of varying degrees, and some dark streaks and such where objects are being reflected.
here's a sample picture see how white that streak is down the middle? that's what i'm talking about. the key to keeping it from looking too smooth is to add a streaked look, like brushed metal. you'd have to mess around with blending modes and such i think to get a good effect. that's all for now, experimentation would be key here. on a side note, basically all the "can someone do a tutorial on..." is planned. not written yet, but there's plans for a huge range of tutorials. |

mmm... yeah. well i think there will only be 2 done by the time v2 comes out, since there are alot of other docs that i think need to be done first.
