Ok, trolled through the Firefly archives to find the picture. It's a print on a shirt so there's a glare, but I fiddled with it and made it my own. Like I said, close.

I think the 60's feeling and the *censorship* addition would make up for any anatomically incorrect mistakes you may have made, although I'm not up to critiquing those right now, even if they do hapen to exist. I should occasionally go try to paint at least one damn thing while I spend so much time here... that is why I'm here, right?

Ok, I don't see what you mean DBA, if the hand and arm is off I'll be sure to go back and fix it. Thing is I don't see it. I'll have to look closely at the ref.

What I was trying to impart was that the "artistic" thing that hit me in this was the way you're drawn to the censorship of her eyes and her breasts... who noticed her hands? I didn't. Be free. Paint what, how you want.
(Staci is one of the best artists here, if not the best, though... so take heed to what she says as well)

Your so sweet, I agree the hand may be a little off but it took me awhile to get it to look even remotely close, I think I did a fair to middling job.

*very* nice. I'm a collector of 50's style pinup art, myself. This is really goooood. The tasteful censorship here gives an air of mystique- a little something left to the imagination- a perfect eye 'teaser'. Class and elegance are defintely a lost art now-a-days. I'm ready for the revival! ;)

Wasn't the art for these pin-ups just beautiful? Yes it was scantily clad women, yes they were in impossible positions wearing shoes that would make you trip and break your neck but the art that went into it, the colors, the different blending of styles. It is a lost art for sure. Maybe one day it'll make a comeback.

The backround is amazing! I never thought of putting the colors together like that! Looks like a real poster in the olden days! Great work!
