You always have a wonderful twist to your pieces. Most people would have put that last portrait on the boards but you decided to go surrealist. (seriously Dan, you should be doing this for a living, if people can make money painting colored stripes on a white canvas and get thousands for it you can cetainly do the same, except yours would be real art.) I'm a fan can you tell? ;)
Well thanks everyone, but let me say, it's really not that awsome. All I did was use a paint program to break down the areas of color and then used that as a somewhat loose ref and drew this here. I thought it was going to be a piece of cake, ya know? Draw closed shapes and fill. Not so fast mister! It was kind of a mess and a bitch to clean up.
that technique is actually how i guessed you do a lot of your pictures dan, i mean use the program to break down the colours then loose ref it. i know what your saying about being a bitch to clean up, my jigsaw one was boring as hell to do. but yea anyway, this is great originallity and i still think you could be in Die Hard
I was looking at Jessica's entry when I saw you comment there and I thought "Yep, that's frootcake alright. I bet he leaves some fucked up comment on mine as well." And sure enough, you did. :) And no, that's not how I do a lot of my other pictures.
I can imagine how boring the jigsaw one was, drawing a grid and then breaking the lines up wih the circle tool must have been exhausting.
drawn in 1 hour 40 min
