Asshole

I wish I had discovered/paid attention to the airbrush tool sooner. It really is nice to play with.

You suck for being able to do something like this in 25 minutes..it has a good smooth marble look
kejoco (Jun 22, 2006)
Looks like pencil on paper that has been smudged

I think this guy's wifee was probably walking through the forrest one day and found him like this and then she put her fists to her hips and stamped her foot and had a scowel on her face said "Oh Alfred!" Only his names wasn't Alfred, and he had bologna in his sandal.
kejoco (Jun 22, 2006)
scandelous!
frootcake (Jun 22, 2006)
scandalous indeed. you get the shadows spot on with the tool, but the whole body lacks depth. I would say this is due to the blurryness of the whole thing. the hand on the left is my favourite part, but as a whole this is inspiring. i love quick accurate sketches, i stared at some of Raphaels in Edinburgh for ages

I use the airbrush tool almost every time I paint, I love it. This has that soft velvety, butterfly wing look to it.
Axil62 (Jun 22, 2006)
I think I'll keep revising it untill I run out of space.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 22, 2006)
I guess I'm going to have to watch the animation to figure out how you got the gray tones in that viridian and alizarin crimson hues.
Axil62 (Jun 22, 2006)
All the colors on the pallet have a gradient that fades to grey, sometimes I accidentaly pic up some of the color by not clicking close enough to the edge of the box in the grey area of whatever color happens to be in the box.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 22, 2006)
I like it like that.
Axil62 (Jun 22, 2006)
Sometimes it's a happy little accident.

Axil.... I am awed and stupefied and... it's just beautiful. If you've ONLY just now discovered the air brush tool, well damn what have you been using all this time? That head angle I've always found difficult. Well done. You know that forest scene you did is still my wallpaper?
Axil62 (Jun 22, 2006)
Cool, thank you :)

Better, much more defined.... he looks so peaceful to have been shot in such painful (slow to bring death) places.

Let me ask you this. Do you find it difficult to work the chin (bottom jaw to be more specific) at that angle? Thats always my problem. You nailed the anatomy on the torso. Love the ribs.
Axil62 (Jun 22, 2006)
No, not really. I mean, I just look at the ref and try to understand why the shadows are where they are and whats going on. Are you asking because you see something 'off' about it?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 22, 2006)
I saw the sculpture, and that is one of the things that I was impressed with... I was drawn to the face in the painting. I didn't "analyze" it for faults, I don't do that with any art. It feels right so I like it.
solve (Jun 22, 2006)
I only ask because I have trouble with the jaw in that position. Hoped you could help out with that vass knowledge you contain. Everything looks fine to me.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 22, 2006)
I have trouble with faces on a flat plane /or angled like that as well, so I understand your question... he seems to pull it off rather nicely each time, and I always wonder how he does it, myself.
HunterKiller_ (Jun 22, 2006)
It's beautiful. Maybe a little more contrast?
Pantera (Jun 30, 2006)
This is wonderful, your work is always great :)
