Since the foreground was in total darkness, I added some dune sand and some grass in the shadows, instead of leaving it completely black. I also ooched the catamaran masts over and kinda rearranged them because I think they make the composition better this way. I also moved us in a bit closer to the shoreline and the catamarans. I don't care if you think I screwed up your photo by painting it this way because you're a dirtbag with sand in your shorts, and in a few weeks IIIIII'm gonna be at the beach nananannannnyyyy boo boooo!.

Yes, Dave is the old dirtbag with sand in his shorts.... he's at the beach right now and he sent a photo of this to torture me. :)

The sky is what I loved about it... why I couldn't resist painting it... but I almost always change things, even if the photo is perfect, I like to make it "mine" in some way when I paint it. :)
