I have been striving for perfect my whole life at everything and never got anywhere close to it in anything... so I won't be any help with that. I just wanted to say I like the contrast between the warmth of his flesh and the cool greens in the background. I bet it'll be a really good painting when you're done.

I sit on my butt on my driveway and draw with sidewalk chalk, too, but shhhh you weren't supposed to tell! :)

I think it'll be great when it's done. It's already half way there. Does he have more hair than this? I ask cause he looks bald for a kid. Teasing.

I say it's awesome just as it is. YOU'RE the artist for cryin out loud!! I get so tired of reading things sometimes about 'it should be this or it should be that'....in my humble opinion it should be AS YOU CREATE IT TO BE...nothing more or less. It's beautiful as it is and it conveys sweetness, childlike simpleness...and the "I don't have a care in the world, I'm just out here blowin bubbles feeling" that only a child can truly appreciate and know. So with that said...if YOU want to make it different (not better)...do it. But if not, it's wonderful already.
